About Us

Hi, I’m Noreen — a nurse who spent many years working in the NHS, and the founder of Sock Cabin.

During my time caring for patients with diabetes, I noticed the same thing over and over again: the socks that were comfortable and safe were rarely something anyone actually wanted to wear. They looked clinical, plain, and joyless.

That always felt wrong to me. Why should comfort mean giving up on style?
That thought stayed with me — and it’s the reason Sock Cabin was born.

At Sock Cabin, we design non-binding, bamboo diabetic socks that feel amazing to wear and look just as good. They’re soft, breathable, and cushioned where it counts — but we’ve also added something most diabetic socks don’t have: character. Every pattern is designed in-house, with care and attention to detail, to bring a little colour and personality to something people wear every single day.

Unlike many other diabetic socks, ours feature an extended non-binding section that gently supports the leg from mid-calf right down to the ankle. This means no tight bands, no pinching, and no marks — just steady, comfortable hold all day long. The longer non-binding area helps improve circulation while giving extra comfort and peace of mind for those who need it most.

We work closely with a trusted manufacturer who helps us turn those designs into reality. Each pair is made from bamboo fibres, chosen for their natural softness and moisture control, blended with cotton and elastane for durability and a gentle, stay-up fit. Before any socks reach our customers, we test them ourselves — because if we wouldn’t wear them, we won’t sell them.

Our goal has always been simple: to make socks that offer extra support, that people genuinely enjoy putting on in the morning. Whether you have diabetes, sensitive feet, or just hate tight socks that leave marks, our designs are made to help you feel comfortable, supported, and confident.

Sock Cabin is a small, UK-based brand — but it’s built on a big idea: that good care and good design belong together.

Thanks for visiting, and for supporting something that we feel is made with real thought and heart.
